Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. After this win, Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision, after winning her first fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, and beat Ariane.
